Andrea Prieur started her career in Athletic Therapy in 1998. Following her graduating with honours from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics; she went on to specialize in Athletic Therapy at York University. Andrea gained her certification through the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association as an Athletic Therapist in 1998. Upon certification, Andrea also continued her education as her skill set grew to include Muscle Energy, Myofascial Release, Mulligan Techniques, Postpartum Health, Articular Pumping, Stott Pilates Instruction, First Responder and Automated External Defibrillation.

During her career as an Athletic Therapist, Andrea has worked with various sports teams and organizations that include Head Therapist for Peel High School Football and Rugby, Beatrice Aeros Women's National Hockey Team and Thornhill Rattler's Tier II Junior Hockey Team. She has also participated in major games as a member of the Canadian Medical Team at the Canada Winter Games in New Brunswick and the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Andrea's newest travel opportunity was as part of the medical team at the World University Games in Turino, Italy in January 2007.

Andrea is currently the Head Therapist at the University of Toronto's David L. MacIntosh Sport Medicine Clinic, the oldest sport medicine clinic in North America. Andrea just completed her 1 year term as President of the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association and resides in Caledon with her husband Mark and three young sons.
