Alexandra is a very experienced Physiotherapist with a passion for people.  She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Science Degree in Physical Therapy.  Alex started her journey towards the physiotherapy profession at York University where she earned her Honours Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. While at York University, became certified as a personal trainer with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology.

After entering private physiotherapy practice, Alexandra completed the McMaster University Medical Acupuncture Program.  She continued to develop her physiotherapy skills and pursued training in managing Dizziness related issues through Vestibular Rehabilitation. Alexandra has significant experience in the diagnosis and treatment of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) and vestibular hypo function.

Alexandra has successfully completed her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is a CAMPT Certified Physiotherapist with the Canadian Academy of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy.

Alexandra extensively uses hands-on manual therapy, acupuncture, cupping, and targeted active exercise programs to successfully treat back, neck, shoulder and various other orthopaedic conditions and physical pain problems. She is acquiring further training to incorporate more extensive myofascial release techniques as well as vestibular and concussion rehabilitation.

Outside of work, Alexandra enjoys keeping up with basketball and almost every other sport (she is a die hard Raptors fan), yoga and staying fit with a home exercise program. She and her husband are kept preoccupied by their “mini” golden-doodle Maggie.
